The bar is 2 in high—limited in height to prevent shading while maximizing snow‑holding potential—and it nearly eliminates panel shading except near sunrise/sunset on very low‑pitch roofs. When used together with Solar Snow Dog, the system typically retains about 4–6 in of snowfall to control sliding snow and ice.
